Before starting my piano practice, I have been watching a couple of YouTube videos on minimalism. At first, I wasn’t sure why I was into this. But then I realized that it gave me a “meditative” effect. The minimalist images are so calming that it puts you into a zen-like state. Usually, minimal people tend to be clutter-free in their heads; they have a focused and simple way of living their lives that match with their inner purpose. Getting a piece of focused clutter-free feeling centers me: I start breathing deeper, feeling calmer and getting ready to focus on my playing.
What do you do to get centered and ready to start your work?
